How can i speak to customer services - help please

I need to speak to someone regarding my new order.

Mainly the activation date of my new broadband, which I have been told is the 11th November.

But my current provider, BT has been told by sky that I will be switching on the 8th Nov.

This would mean I would be without Internet service for around 4 days. As I work from home this is not acceptable.

I have tried through the app to ring, but as it doesn't recognise my phone it won't connect me to anyone.  I found an e-mail address and sent an e-mail but not sure if it's actually sent to a monitored e-mail address.

I've tried the virtual chat, but it can't help as my account is not live. I've searched on the app and on-line but cannot find a number or a way of contacting anyone.

I can track my order, but unable to do anything else, am I missing something?? Am i just being thick, would really appreciate some help, I'm not even sure if this is the right forum for my question.

I'm really wishing I hadn't switched 😫

@Scoobysue544   You can call on 150 from a Sky Talk Line or Sky Mobile.

If you haven't got a current Sky Mobile or Sky Talk this link should help:
(UK) https://www.sky.com/help/home Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides a 0333 number
(ROI) on the same link change the flag in the very bottom corner to the ROI flag to obtain an 0818 number.

Stay on the line and don’t hang up if prompted to. Apparently the quieter times to ring are just after 7am or about 9pm.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

@Barry65

Is it something we can help with to save you a call?

These are the current methods for contacting Sky. (Depending on your reason for making contact some methods will be more appropriate than others) …

🟩 📞 Customer Services by dialling 150 (free) from either a Sky mobile or a Sky Talk landline. The forum doesn’t allow the display of other numbers.

All calls will start automated which may offer you the online help route or try to send you here to the forum. Stay on the line as long as possible and saying nothing when asked the reason for the call sometimes helps being put in the queue for an agent.

Note: for any customer whose services are restricted due to a missed payment phone contact is unlikely to work.

🟩 online help via this link
https://www.sky.com/help
If necessary a number may be visible at the end of the correct help flow.

🟩 Sky Assistant 💬 should also be available via
https://www.sky.com/help
for most service issues and gives you 24/7 help and a quick response. It should provide you with multiple choice options based on your problem and will provide troubleshooting steps to fix any service issues.

🟩 Social Media You can also get in touch via the messaging services on: Facebook, Instagram, or X (links at the bottom of the forum page).

Note ~ ROI customers 🔹If you’re in the ROI make sure the flag in the bottom right of the link is showing the correct flag and change if required. The Sky Ireland phone lines are closed at a weekend.
