@Ashley441 if you have biught Sky WiFi Max bundle call Sky as they will arrange for a broadband engineer to come out who can authorise up to 2 more extenders. If you dont buy that package and just have a regular booster/extender moving thst closer can make the position worse. Boosters need a strong connection back to the hub to work so somewhat counter intuitively moving the booster closer to the hub can improve speeds. Ideal position is half way.
Unfortunately in many homes a simple WiFi hub even with a booster wont provide decent WiFi in every room which is why there is a market for numerous third party systems. As mentioned Sky sell their own bundle so there is wide choice. Which is right for your home depends on its layout type of construction and level of interference.
