@SteveGOC It will be incorrect unless you are using a router that is very old, all current Sky routers use wpa2 as standard.

@SteveGOC

All the in-support Hubs (dating from 2013 onwards) should run WPA2.  The new Max Hub has WPA3.

@SteveGOC You can't email anyone at Sky, have you had your current router more than 10 years? if not its unlikely Sky would replace it as it has industry standard security.

Re: Help

I can't see the router being 10 years old but I haven't got any record, I have checked the broadband connection and it is telling me that the router is WEP and should be reconfigured. I really don't have a clue.

@SteveGOC which Sky hub on this page https://www.sky.com/help/articles/set-up-hub-which-sky-hub-do-you-have ? If it is any of these they support WPA2 or better by default.A very few customers still have ancient routers from before Skky Broadband really was a thing but those Sky branded hubs all default to WPA2 which is considered secure. However Apple products are known to give security warnings as they support WPA3 which few routers do as yet.

You can check the wifi security for yourself by typing 192.168.0.1 into a browser which will open the hub's web interface. You need to click on the Wifi tab and log in for the first two the log in is username admin, password is thecwifi password on the label. The other two the username is admin and the password is sky. The WiFi tab will show the security level.
