Help with hosted desktop blocking

Hi,

all of a sudden my hosted desktop will not work when I work from home. I've turned off our sky shield as suggested by our IT department, if the shield is off is there still any way that sky can be blocking the address? I don't want to spend hours on the phone trying to get through to sky if someone who is far more IT literate can say that if shield is off nothing should be blocked? Thanks!

@Jessixa what colour hub do you have? If you forwarded firewall ports check these are still set correctly ascrecentvfirmware updates could have reset the hub.

Thank you I have a black modem box. If you can offer any step by step guidance to check your suggestion that would be great or is it a power box off and power on again? Thank you
