Help please
I've been on sky broad band for years and recently in July my speed went from 63mbps to below 7 mbps for two days.
Sky said no faults found.
Again in August the same thing for two days and no faults.
It eventually coming back to higher speed.
I'm 18 years with sky and this baffles me.
Any ideas please?
On my sky app the graph is showing the days it went down but sky said they cannot do anything about it.
Many thanks to you

Re: Help please
@riffer7777 you are using a partial fibre servicecwhere a copper phone line carries the dignal from the cabinet to your hub. It sounds like a fault is causing the speed to drop when the fault clears thecsignal bounces back. Openreach who own the line are increasingly unwilling to do more than the basics on these partial fibre lines as the network switches to full fibre. Therefore once the fault cleared they close the fault only for it to recur later.
It is worth checking thst the issue is not in your home. Check the cable to the socket. If thecsocket only has a single connection and you are using a line filter to connect the hub replace that filter which can be bought cheaply online or in hardware shops. Getting Sky to fit a modern prefiltered master socketis a sensible step beyond thst you are in Openreach's hands. However the best thing is to switch to full fibre if thst is available at your address.
