Help please I have no connection

All my Sky TV and broadband suddenly went off tonight.  I've completed all the diagnostic processes and think the issue is my Openreach cable. The PON light is red. No answer from calling Sky and Google says Sky must report the issue to Openreach for an engineer. Average 2-3 days wait at least, but I have kids and work from home tomorrow so need the Internet urgently. Has anyone any ideas for a quicker fix please? Thanks

Unfortunately there just isn't one: domestic broadband subscription rates don't cover faster response or weekend Openreach attendance, and WFH doesn't bring any additional support.  

 

Where greater reliability is important, there are ISPs which offer automated failover to cellular data (at an additional monthly cost)
