Help Please what is the difference between boost and max broadband
Hi,
I am having problems with my internet dropping out all the time. everytime i run a wifi/broadband test it just says signal is good.
I am currently in contract until November 2026 if i upgrade will this cause problems later on due to deals or offers expiring as i dont particulary want the bill to continue rising.
I have sky boost but i am unsure what the difference between this and the new wifi max is.
Any information would be greatly appreciated
ps. I have already follwed the diagnostic advice and have found no improvement

Re: Help Please what is the difference between boost and max broadband
@Callum0156 the old Boost bundle (https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-boost) had a guarantee of a minimum 3Mb/s in every room and provided boosters matched to the black Sky Broadbznd Hub and a few add-ons like engineer visits out of working hours at no extra cost. The newer Sky WiFi Max bundle (https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max) provides a new white Sky Max hub which can deliver faster WiFi but uses different pod extenders plus some other bits like parental controls etc.and a faster guaranteed WiFi speed
Neither package will sort a dodgy line or the speed to your hub. However the newer package can provide faster WiFi but going by own experience and numerous reports can hit issues in properties with solid internal walls. The new package is not fully compatable with Sky Q tv boxes which stop acting as wifi hotspots while the old bundle is compatable.
Hope that helps

This link below provides information about the coloured lights on the various hubs that can help to see what is going on! If the system is also Full Fibre then the lights on the OR/CF ONT also require to be looked at!
