We are receiving calls from an 0780 number on our landline advising there is a problem with our broadband. We have checked this in the app each time & not found a problem so have made excuses to get them to phone back another time. Has anyone any knowledge or advice with this? ISPs don't make such calls: the extremely slim profit margin on domestic broadband just doesn't permit this. As @caesarome indicates, it's always the start of a scam.

It will be a scam call as Sky doesn't call customers to let them know of faults, so if you can and if the number is the same try blocking it.

Thanks Guys, we had suspicions but are new to Sky so your help is much appreciated. Unfortunately they only use the landline but we're looking into what we can do with that. All best & regards Ollie.
