I have a problem linking my new SKY Max Hub router to a HP Officejet pro 8610 printer. I have tried connecting using WPS and manual password login.
"an error has occurred" message happens each time and i tried printing diagnostic information. On Settings No Filtering it returns FAIL. At top of page attention your printer is unable to connect to wireless router. MAC address filtering may be enabled. I have also tried connecting printer to router with ethernet cable but this didnt work either...
I have factory reset printer and tried to update to latest firmware with laptop connected by USB cable but firmware upto date. It worked fine with my BT smart hub before switching to sky...

Hi
SOLVED !
I had same problem with HP ENVY5532. Solution was to change the security protocol from WAP3 to WAP2 on the router settings menu. I found that the printer connects instantly if you made the change and went off line immmediately I switched back. If you feel you need the extra security.change to WAP2 , print, then change back.

I have the same issue, however all settings for SSID changes are grayed out - I've read elsewhere that it takes some time after receiving a router for these settings to be made editable - not sure.
Did you make the changes from web browser ? And did you make the changes to only the 2.4GHz SSID re: WPA2 ?
Thanks

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Fourmidable you need to change the WiFi security setting for the Sky Max hub in the My Sky app from the defaulr wpa3-T to WPA2.

Thanks - just done this - it changes the setting for both 2.4ghz and 5ghz to WPA2 - my printer can now connect. Can I clarify:
It seems I can't rename the 2.4ghz SSID, so unable to specify that WPA2 should only apply to that connection. So I'm now left with both 2.4 and 5 ghz set to WPA2 - this is a limitation, you should definitely be able to customise the two connections seperately - and not have a one szie fits all.
Is my understanding correct ? If so, SKY assume all customer devices happily use WPA3...and if they don't, then we're unable to enjoy the additional security and whatever other benefits associated with WPA3.
Regards
