Google speak groups dropping

Since moving from Virgin to Sky  - i'm having a lot of issues with my google nest/mini speaker groups.  Rooms keep dropping on and off constantly - one minute they're there and playing, next just gone.  They worked fine with Virgin. 

Google are convinced it the router - but no one seems to know a fix.  Anyone else having this issue and able to help?

Its possible the Virgin router was able to provide a better coverage around your home compared to the Sky hub. What is the signal strength like near the speakers?
