Hi I have Gigafast 900. I get 850 on my ethernet cool no problems. On my pixel 8pro and my wife's iPhone we was getting 300-400mbps. Today though I'm only getting 100-120mbps. Id did press the WPS button to add a WiFi extender but I am still getting 850-900 hardwired. It's only been installed 9 days just wondering why my WiFi speed now 1/3 to 1/4 what it was the other night yet the hardwired still 850-900...?
Any ideas? Turn off on router?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@miral78 did you noticectge speed recuction before or after adding the extender? Basic extenders can only provide a connection bandwidth of roughly 50% of the speed they receive from the hub but devices will connect to the strongest WiFI signal so devices near an extender wil always connect to that unit even though it offers less bandwidth than a connection to the hub.
Otherwise it could be because you have only connected to the slower 2.4GHz band to get higher speeds on a Wifi5 router like the standard SR203 hub Sky provides you need to connect to the 5GHz band or ideally both. If you have splitvthe two bands then check which one the devices are using.

It will vary around the house as well.
I have a 500mb connection, the wifi is handled by 4 eero 6 Pro(the base unit is cabled to the SR203) and they show a 500mb connection speed. These are all Wifi 6 capable as is the iPhone.
At the moment the phone has an internal network speed of 500mb but only an external speed test of 150. Wifi 7 may help - it's all in the bandwidth.
