Full fibre and mobile

Why do Sky not recommend full fibre if you have poor moblle reception. Surely the Wi-Fi calling will be more stable and reliable if full fibre is used.

@Wiltshire+lad Do you have full Fibre to start with, and Wi-Fi calling can be very mobile network dependant as such until you try it it may/mat not work as expected! Wi-fi calling works equally well over fttc copper connection, so does not require fttp as a primary source!

Re: Full fibre and mobile

No, I do not have full fibre at the moment and I do have to rely on Wi-Fi calling on the ee network since my mobile signal is very poor due to a hill in the way. In one of their blurbs, Sky say full fibre is not recommended with a weak mobile signal which surprised me. So far I have not been able to find out why. I will upgrade to full fibre if I  an be sure to get a mobile connection.
