Full Fibre underperforming and not reaching half the house. Its not a castle.

I have had long term problems with previous fibre on sky not reaching rooms to watch sky and flaky Wi-Fi in these rooms.

I have now installed full fibre 150 and there has been no improvement if not worse. Sky buffering in rooms with weak signals and is pixelated.

Most of the time there are 2 people living in house. We are not streaming videos, gaming etc. Speed to hub according to checker is POOR. 80 MB/s that is daily average. I already have a sky booster in place. Thanks for advice.

I am a bit naive with this. How do I increase the level? a phone call to SKY?

Thank you

@Ernie1232 & @peter-marlow+1966 increasing speed to the hub will never solve issues where WiFi speeds in the home are the limiting factor. Instead you need to improve the WiFi signal levels first if then you still need more speed then by all means pay for greater bandwidth.

Poor WiFi coverage is probably the most common question we get in the forum. In many homes a single Sky hub cannot provide a usable wifi signal in every room due to the layout and type of construction of the property especially in older homes. A small traditional house with solid internal walls will be as challenging as a lsrge modern house with partition walls.  However it is worth checking that the hub is in the best possible position which is out in the open on a surface then the only answer is additional wifi sources.

Your choice.is to either buy Sky's add-on WiFi Max bundle which can supply up to 3 extenders see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max or buy your own wifi system and use that instead of the Sky hub's WiFi.

@Ernie1232 Best you start over, what sky hub do you have, and also which booster are you using, the moving to a Full Fibre does not fix any off the internal issues as @Chrisee has pointed out. Few links below to guide for the device types.
