Full Fibre 300 - confirmation email confusing

Until today my contract was for Superfast 80 (?) - something like that anyway. I have been consistently getting download speeds of 61mbps on my phone (which I understand may be less than 80) and to be honest I've been mostly happy with that.

Anyway, today I (perhaps impetuously) signed up for Full Fibre 300. How exciting! I understand an engineer needs to fix a box to my external wall, and open reach need to do something underground at the junction box (maybe 6th of April?). Not a problem.

However, the confirmation of my order email from Sky only says...

"We estimate your line could support between:
56.7 and 63.0Mbps download speed
13.2 and 14.6Mbps upload speed
You should expect a Guaranteed Minimum Download Speed of 51.0 Mbps."

 

...no mention of the download speed going up to approaching 300mbps once the required engineer work has been done.

 

Can anyone confirm that my speed will increase once the work is done, and that I am not now paying extra for a slower speed?

@Andrewprod Sounds like they dipped in and sent you the old conformation, logon to your account and see if anything is sitting in your my messages section or document's. On FF500 myself so the figures i have are not based on the FF300! 

 

Also check your e-mail to see if the dates applied are correct ie this year 2026?

Thanks - you may well be right.

I looked at messages in my account and it's word-for-word the same as the email.

I'm sure it will all be fine - I'll see what transpires in April.

I was very excited to receive in the post my 'conversion kit', but it was just an ethernet cable 😔

I was hoping I might get a new hub, but there's no indication of that.

Anyway, still looking forward with optimism to my 290% faster broadband! 🙂

@Andrewprod Seems to be something going on sky documents side, had very similar type at my end, and the My Messages is not even updating at all now, going to give it another week to see before reaching out! Did get some e-mails but sure would like the History stored sky side to match.
