Full Fibre 150 band split
We have been offered Sky Full Fibre 150, can the bands be split into 2.4ghz and 5ghz as we have equipment that only works on the 2.4ghz ?
Thank you.

Re: Full Fibre 150 band split
@Tigerman04 that depends on the hub Sky supply you with. By default new customers get the white Sky Max hub which does not allow band splitting. Existing Sky broadband customers normally keep, or in a few cases are sent, the older black Sky Broadband hub which does allow band splitting.
That does not mean kit that doesnt connect to dual band SSIDs cannot be used with the white hub. You simply tdmporarily disable thec5GHz band then connect the kit once tgst is done re-enable the 5GHz and tge kit should stay connected.

Re: Full Fibre 150 band split
@Tigerman04 the srttings are in the hub's Advanced settings in the My Sky app. It isnt difficult simply turn off the 5GHz band in thecapp. Wait until the hub restarts then use the device's app or whatever to connect then go back into My Skyvand turn thec5GHz band baxk in. The reason it is not posdible to split tge bands is thatvtongetvWiFi6 speeds requires both bands to be synchronised
A few devices might not stay connected but the majority seem to accordingvtonreports.
