Fibre
Had this message from Sky
Openreach has identified that there is no capacity at the green cabinet on your street for a Fibre connection.
What does it mean?

Re: Fibre
This means that the local cabinet that supplies your street/area is full, as in there is no more slots to connect your line to. This can happen because Openreach usually doesnt deploy enough infrastructure to serve every single premises in the area because they assume there wont be a 100% uptake, or new homes are built.
Essentially you wont be able to order broadband until Openreach expand capacity in your area, or someone cancels their service and that slot becomes available.

Re: Fibre
Thanks, does this mean that any type of Broadband I purchase will result in the same outcome, or just Sky?

Re: Fibre
Any provider that uses Openreach infrastructure will result in the same outcome.
here are other providers that have their own infrastructure that might be able to provide you a service.

Cabinet capacity is specific to FTTC broadband from any Openreach client ISP.
ADSL is/was a direct connection with a telephone exchange, and FTTP uses a different topology.
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2
