Fibre installation 3 storey house

I need to get fibre broadband installed and I live in a 3 storey terraced house.
I am concerned over where the ONT and router would be placed. I have limited power outlets near the front door where I would expect the internal box to go, and I'm not sure connection would be good on the top floors if the router was by the front door.  My current router is in the lounge at the back of the house on the middle floor and I get great coverage throughout.

I have spoken with Sky customer services today who have assured me that I can put the ONT wherever I want and the engineers will either dig the cable through all my neighbours gardens or happily go up and over the roof - apparently they bring all the equipment to do this.

Personally I don't think this is at all correct so I thought I would ask how other people in similar terraced houses have managed their installation.

Thanks

Sky support really shouldn't be saying that: it's just not true.

As a start, if it's in the UK then putting the address into the BT Wholesale Availability Checker should indicate which broadband provisioning type is applicable.

https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressHome

It's the table and the two text lines below it which are most useful.

Remove any personal information (such as the address itself) if you post an image.

It's also worth being aware that 1) the ONT will work quite happily plugged into an extension lead, and 2) the ethernet cable between the ONT and your router could be up to 100m long.
