Need to swap from superfast to ultrafast fibre broadband. Fibre connectivity from telegraph pole at rear of property. Router (with ethernet cabled connection required to Sky Q box and HIVE heating control) is currently 2 rooms and a hallway away from most likely position of ONT. (roughly 30 feet /10 metres).
1. can the router work this far away from ONT
2. Will I need to have cabling installed from ONT to router?
3. OR would a CAT6 RJ45 work for the distance? (no idea how I will get this across the hallway other than under the carpet - not ideal). Thanks for any help and advice.
