Fibre NOT up and running and now problems with previous router

Fibre was meant to be installed yesterday but turns out no live data coming down line so now waiting for OpenReach to look into this.

Sky engineers said leave new router plugged in and switched on but in meantime, reconnected old router to phone box and Sky box via Ethernet cable as it was before.

Since then, Sky (and our mobiles) are picking up on the new WiFi router name (ie not what the "old" router was named) and quite often when I go onto on demand, it's telling me I'm not connected to the internet which is really annoying. Mobiles also having trouble. 
Any suggestions as how to sort this? I'm assuming switching off the new router would force the Sky box to find the old router name and that might sort it - but like I say, I've been asked to leave the new one switched on. 
Help!!
