Fibre Broadband

We have just switched to Sky Fibre from another provider. Installation is being completed on Friday this week. However, I am concerned that the WiFi will not work on our second floor when it will be installed on the ground floor. Has anyone expereienced this issue? If so, did you get boosters from Sky and did that solve the issue? I know we could go on to a mesh wifi but if the boosters work fine, then we would likely take that option (that's how our current set up is).

@NatashaMaria Sky do not provide boosters as part of their normal product. To be homest boodters are a pretty poor solution as the way they work they only provide roughly 50% of the bandwidth they have back tomthe hub so need to be in a strong signal area. For 3 storey properties that would be in the hall or on the first floor landing. The `wifi mesh systems are usually fsr better either Sky's own offering Sky Wifi Max where thry will supply up to 3 extenders if required or a third party system replacing the Sky hub's wifi. I use a third party system myself.

@NatashaMaria

Sky loans wireless booster hardware free under the terms of the 'WiFi Guarantee' element of 'Broadband Boost' and the 'Enhanced Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' part of the 'WiFi Max' subscription supplement: they don't otherwise provide or sell them except to resolve issues with Sky Q. Inevitably some have leaked onto a certain auction site, but Sky won't offer support with using these.

Confusingly the 'Wall to Wall WiFi Guarantee' doesn't actually provide booster hardware, and is essentially a sales lead generator for the supplements mentioned above.
