Fibre 500

Hi all , had the fibre 500 installed today , done speed check on Ookla and Google, on 5ghz WiFi I got 406mbps BUT on 2.4ghz WiFi I got 52.7mbps !!!! I used to get 60 / 65 Mbps on 2.4 and tbh I would have thought that I'd get more than 52.7 now having the fibre 500 ! Any ideas anyone 🤔

@edgie700  When you movef to full fibre did you also change your router or is it still the same one?

Re: Fibre 500

@edgie700 What is the 2.4Ghz spec for the device that you are wireless testing with to the SR203 hub, Speed is not far off with the values you posted, and assume you have tested a few times and at varying times also to various server's also!

Re: Fibre 500

I was getting approx 65mbps using my Galaxy S24+ before fibre was installed, today it's a lot less , I've had 20mbps , 50mbps , 40mbps it's just annoying that I thought getting 500mbps I'd get that on 2.4ghz and 5ghz , even my fire stick that's connected via ethernet using a 1gb adapter is only showing 250mbps download

Did find this about the frequencies

Re: Fibre 500

@edgie700 some reading for you, waiting on the picture to be cleared. Phone should get up near the 250 mark on the 2,4Ghz band.

Edit:- Save me looking through all you post's do you still have the SR203 hub any SE210 boosters, apart from the fibre install and possible re-positioning off your hub, anything else!
