Faulty cable in house

The engineer said that the cables in the house are faulty and he cannot connect us to the internet. What should I do?

That's a bit lacking in detail, but the basic principle is that every domestic property has a right to an Openreach connection capable of carry telephony and at least 10Mbs internet under the Universal Service Obligation.  It's up to your ISP to negotiate delivery of this with Openreach.
