Failed FTTP install

Hi all,

Had my fibre installation attempted today but it couldn’t be completed. The engineer tried to run the fibre through the channel under my garden, but it looks like something is blocking it, possibly roots. They’ve said someone else will come out with specialist tools to try again.

Has anyone else had this issue before? How was it resolved, and how long did it take for the second visit? Just trying to get an idea of what to expect.

Thanks in advance!

@RoxaneAmanda Once the Engineer reports it, the crew gets organised you can be looking at weeks to months, you never know the other crew may strike it lucky and rod it back, if not digging exercise to get it all back to the main chamber!

@RoxaneAmanda I wouldn't be as pessamistic as @JimM1. Openreach have what they call "civils teams" who come in to do digging.  In a soft dig as your sounds to do a should be pretty straightforward and simply depends on the availability of the right teams as the fibre guys will becthen needed to complete the job..
