FTTP connection to eero suddenly stopped working
I recently moved to sky from Vodafone and initially the connection just worked with my eero, i didn't have to change a thing, not a single setting infact it was that seamless that had I not reqularly checked my outside IP I wouldn't have known that I'd moved, great!
However 2 weeks in its suddenly stopped working, I've seen multiple sources on these forums about connecting eero FTTP directly to the ONT and settings, often referring to DHCP option 61 MER which is not possible on eero which I understand but my question is why did it work and now all of sudden stop, I've phone SKY support and they assure nothing has changed however if this was the case it would still be working.
I'm in my cooling off period so if I can't get this resolved quickly I'll just jump back to the more expensive but working options with Vodafone.

Re: FTTP connection to eero suddenly stopped working
@TeddyToodles there is a sceond method to connect third party routers to a Sky full fibre line which is DHCPv6 PD which msybe what the eero was using which works on roughly 80% of Openreach lines a quick sesrch shows inconsidtent results for this set up. Unfortunately eero do not offer much in the way of configuration options and is not one of the routers most forum members would recommend.
A reboot might help, but I suspect you may get a repeat of the loss. You can of course use the eero behind the hub Sky provided either in Access Point mode or as a router but you will have a Double NAT set up which can cause issues with some apps but works for most.
65inch Sky Glass, 3 Sky Streaming Pucks, Sky Ultrafast + and Sky SR213(white Wifi Max hub) main Wifi from 3 TP-Link Deco M4 units in access point mode

Re: FTTP connection to eero suddenly stopped working
Thanks Chrisee,
I agree it appears that any other wifi mesh setup would've been better here, unfortunately I'm setup on eero now and can't easily migrate without extra expense and time.
I'm not sure what the original setup was, on the eero it was/is still setup with pppoe which was the config for Vodafone, these settings are likely wrong but I'm not sure what the new should be, without the possibility of DHCP option 61, I've tried both rebooting eero and ont and both for 10+ minutes, still no joy.
