FTTP Upgrade ?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

Hi all

Question for any telecoms experts out there. The fttp openreach upgrade is taking its time in rural wales - openreach came out last week and installed these panels on all of the telegraph poles in my street. Is this a precursor to having fttp (we currently only have fttc with sky) and if so would the next stage be to dig and lay the cables between the cabinet and the poles ? I'm desperate for a faster internet connection

@Jporch316

Those 'panels' look like mounting brackets for something else to be added: I guess they could be there to take aerial Connectorised Block Terminals (on the right).
