FTTP Availability Issue: WBC FTTP on "Waiting List" (Postcode: RM11

Hi everyone,

I am looking for some help from a Sky Community Manager to escalate an infrastructure capacity issue to Openreach.

I want to order Sky Full Fibre, but the online checker says it is available...BUT.... I have run my address and UPRN through the official BT Wholesale Broadband Checker, and the results show that WBC FTTP is live but currently marked as "Waiting List".

This means the physical Openreach Full Fibre network is built to my street, but the local connection box (CBT) on the pole/chamber is completely full.

Because of this "Waiting List" status, I cant get full fibre internet. Could a forum moderator please escalate this to the Sky network liaison team so a Capacity Query can be raised with Openreach?

I have my 12-digit UPRN ready to provide via private message to help get a manual or pended order placed in the system.

@denneyjoe sorry but thst would have no effect even if Sky asked which they are very unlikely to do.. Openreach distribution points support up to 30 connections and just like the older FTTC cabinets when fully sold you can only hope they install a new unit.Sky never placed wait list orrders on FTTC so I doubt they will change for FTTP. You could try an alternstive ISP who will placeca wait list order.

This is the first time I have seen a fully sold distribution point, the positive that in compsrison installing a passive optical distribution point is far easier than supplying a second fibre cabinet. Do you have access to an alternative network like Virgin Meidia or one of the altnets?
