FIBRE 150 . STRONG SIGNAL BUT NOTHING LOADS.
Hi , I've recently upgraded to sky fibre 150 . I'm have serious issues that shy can't solve. I'm getting full speed into the property, and every room gets decent speeds of around 50-70 Mbps. However, frequently my devices ( phones, gaming and laptop etc) stop loading, can't access Amy internet pages whatsoever and video stop playing or buffer. I've tried EVERYTHING sky have suggested - resetting, changing the shield settings, adding a booster but I still get this issue. Every time this happens then signal to all my devices stays strong, yet it's like there is something stopping anything loading on the internet! Then without my doing anything it will start working again as it should. When this happens, the router stays on green ( no orange or blinking lights) . I've now losing my temper with this as nothing seems to correct it ! For me it's like the shield is intermittently blocked everything, but tried all the settings including switching it off completely and I still get this issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi it's a black router because the white one ( apparently) isn't compatible with sky Q .

Re: FIBRE 150 . STRONG SIGNAL BUT NOTHING LOADS.
@Jon_c_h ocasionally Sky's servers managing your connection develop faults which means traffic is not routed correctly to the Domain Name Servers so you get stalls you mention. Given these servers are at refional poits of presence it takes time for Sky's engineers to get out to them. Forcing a disconnection of the hub through the hubs web interface or powering down for an hour usually sorts this as you should reconnect to a fully operational node but what you get is down to luck.
However simply adding a public DNS address to the network set up on the device can mean you can continue to use the connection despite this fault. I use Google's public DNS at 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 myself. Simpky switch the DNS setting to manual and add those addresses to the list thst should appear.
Hope that helps.

Hi , thanks for your reply, how do I change these settings - I'm not really tech minded! It's it on the hub or my devices?
