hello can anyone help me
Not great with this stuff but I need
an extender in my sons room so he can plug a gaming pc ethernet direct into an extender. His ping is poor on wifi. ? We have 900 mb fibre to property. Hub downstairs. Sky booster in centre of house. 4 mini boxes.
engineer said that i needed a tp link but wifi disabled as would mess up the mesh of the boxes ? Some basic guidance would be a great help. my knowledge is not great on how it all works. thank you in advance.

The appropriate hardware would be a pair of non-WiFi Powerline network adaptors with gigabit chipsets: that gives a direct wired connection with no possibility of interfering with existing wireless.
Argos will do you a pair of TP-Link’s AV1000 units boxed as a kit for £35 : much more expensive hardware is also available.
You'd also need two ethernet cables.
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2
