Engineer didn't finished the installation

Hi, 5 days ago the engineer came to install the internet in my house, openrench give me appointment time from 13 to 18, the engineer arrived at 17:00 and he said he Is not going to be able to do all the installation because was dark to do the outside part ( i don't understand why he didn't come earlier) my problem is now I'm without service, nobody give me a answer to know how long is going to take, is no update about new appointment and Christmas is very close and I don't want they booked me for next year. It's anyone had the same experience? What can I do? Is any way to speed up the thing a bit? Thanks

Sky are at the mercy of the openreach engineer updating your visit correctly if he did you would have received a call or text to rebook

if not then it takes 3 working days for it to be registered as late completing so you should receive updates today or tomorrow from sky once it has been investigated

 

engineers are assigned visits on mass so may not have finished previous jobs until it was dark so was unable to action yours
