Engineer No Show
Posting on behalf of my grandparents.
Ordered Sky broadband and was supposed to go through on Wednesday. The internet line is not working, leaving them with no broadband at all.
An engineer was booked to visit today between 1-6pm, but no one bothered to show up. The service checker is now showing that the engineer visit is completed.... Which it is not, as no one has visited the property.
I have tried endlessly to get in contact with a human, but am getting thrown off by robots both online and over the phone.
How do I go about speaking to an actual human who can help get them to the bottom of the problem? This is leaving two disabled oaps without any broadband or landline.
Any help much appreciated.

Have they been told where the fault is because if it outside of their property the Openreach engineer should have gone to where it was to carry out a fix.
What lights are now lit on their broadband hub ?

Re: Engineer No Show
The power and wi-fi lights are green- no other lights are on.
Followed the directions on testing and at the end of the process was told to book an engineer through the sky website. It did not say whether it was an Openreach or Sky engineer.

Re: Engineer No Show
I have moved into a different accommodation and I had the book my sky and generated to come to the new apartment a month ago. This Tuesday just gone. We're supposed to have an engineer visit between 1:00 and 6:00 so I stayed in all that time waiting for and they didn't show up. This was for full fiber of which I didn't want in the first place and was told by Skyler I needed to have it to move into the new apartment. So it's taking me 3 days now to rectify it of which it isn't still because I've been through four different assistants online chats and they've put me back on the 45 bath and told me that the engineer system is now fixed and they can do it. But I'm getting the same messaged from openreach as I did before. The sky assistant on the chat was reluctant to give me City fire. After explaining five times each time I've spoken to someone new that I can't have it at this flat. I was told that that was not and that we can have it here so they just tried to book me and kept going on about booking it and they didn't let me have the other version. So now I'm back to square one after a month of waiting for the engineer to come. We haven't had anything and now I have to wait six more weeks for the same thing to be fitted when there's a problem with the open reach engineer actually turning up. I've tried to ring. I've been on all the chats I've spoke to different advisors and none of them have been helpful at all. I've already got a sky glass and hub and I just need it hooking up to the system outside yet. There seems to be a massive problem with this and I don't clearly understand what it is and it's very frustrating. I've got to sit on a call on white for someone to talk to me properly about it and still I get the same answers. Anybody else had a problem with open reach

Re: Engineer No Show
@PhillipHill Sky do not dend out engineers to check equipment faults. Unplug the booster move it close to your Sky huband see if it connects there if it does move the unit to roughly halfway between the hub and where you need the boost. If the booster still wont connect in the same room as the hub phone Sky and ask for it to be replaced.
