Ellett

Moved on 20th broardband all set and working , no phone line . Can't get new number on landline or call out or answer, no dialling tone . Have no mobile sig in area so can't call from mobile . Called from a location 10 mins down road yesterday to tell you . Told me to change lan round and put in port 4 tryed reset phone is on but no tone when picked up . Sometimes it says on screen check phone line . New hub came and didn't come with a micro filter so I had my own which I'm surprised as I wouldn't of had broadband without it , I did test this by taking it out and putting phone line in normal phone socket , still didn't work . Currently have no means of contact only via internet. My sky mobile is not supported in this area but I'm moving provider . All sorted with you , but till I'm sorted I can't even call emergency servers. You can call me to talk me through advice unless via internet/ WiFi

Re: Ellett

Hello @Lo8

I've read your post a couple of times, it doesn't make sense.

The instructions sky told you over the phone, reads like you have a FTTP/sky ultrafast broadband connection which everything should be plugged into a new OPENREACH ONT not a old BT socket.

From what your saying, you have an old style adsl/vdsl sky superfast copper based broadband connection.

If your broadband from sky is ultrafast FTTP, the phone sockets and copper wires in your new home are dead, because they have been chopped off outside, as they are no longer in use anymore.

You need to determine what type of broadband you have, sky FTTP Ultrafast or Copper based Superfast in your new home.
