Eero gateway issues

Hi all, son son set up an eero gateway device with 2 additional eero "devices" around the house and it has worked flawlessly for 18 months. Early this morning it has stopped working and it appears I need to set this up again. I spoke to eero who were as much us as a chololate fire guard. Afetr 6 hours back and forth they cannot help. They advised I need the PPPoE username and passwork, which I think I am right in saying is the old modem and login details from my sky router, which I no longer have. I have spoken to Sky and they make eero look like champs. They do no know wht I am asking of them. Any idea's what I can do, if anything? TIA.

Re: Eero gateway issues

@Coureau Just to start with Sky does not use PPPoE for any system settings, will find the details you require and post below.

Then set the connection type to autmatic ip.  Then in the client identifier (option 61) enter

anything@skydsl|anything

Sky are only able to support there equipment, you want to have EERO on the fttp, then that is down to you, nothing to do with sky!

Re: Eero gateway issues

Hi @JimM1.  Apologies, I am none the wiser from your response. What and where am I entering these "details?"

I understand this, however, they are the ISP, so without their router, I cannot do anything, hence why eero requested i contact them.

@Coureau Where is the sky router? You would have one when you joined!

Re: Eero gateway issues

In a skip somewhere. If I had this I wouldn't be asking these questions! SO, are we saying, no sky router, no internet. FULL STOP? Is there no other method to regain connection, as it has been working perfectly for 18 months?

Re: Eero gateway issues

@Coureau No 1. you have no idea that the internet is down from past the EERO side and that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the EERO system, how can you even tell. In a skip somewhere as a curt answer is just not going to cut it.

Re: Eero gateway issues

@JimM1, Again, you make no sense to me. Correct, I don't know if the issue is with the eero device(s). I suspect so, as it has work without issue until now. What would you like me to say re the Sky router? I went to the recycling centre when it stopped working, so yes, it went in a  skip? That's not  a curt answer, it a fact. If you cannot help, which clearly you cannot, please refrain from commenting further.
