Early activation?

Basically, my Sky BB was activated early, do I need to tell them about this? Saying this; my home phone isn't working but I think that's just because they can't see if it was activated, My activation date was supposed to be on 27th Jan.

@wxox if you have just moved in it is possible that the last residents service is still live so that is a bonus but unless someone from Openreach or Sky have told you your new service is working I wouldn't count on it.

I've lived here since 2014, nobody else had a service and my previous service was 3 years ago and my sky BB is working fine, so do I need to tell them?
