Dropouts & Throughput
I've been on Sky Fibre Superfast for a good few years and never had any real issues with speed.
However for the last couple of weeks I've had intermittent drop outs and slow speed issues.
I've tried with a spare Router and still the same results so it's not the Router.
On Sunday the Router was losing connection every couple of minutes or so and I ended up running the Line Test on the MySky App.
A line fault was found I was told Openreach would investigate the problem.
At the time the Sky Router Stats were showing a Connection Speed of around 63000kbps but the Downstream Noise Margin was very high around 17.4dB suggesting an outside Line Fault. Any Speed Test I attempted would only show a Throughput of around 22Mbps.
Two Engineers, not Openreach by the way arrived this morning and carried out various Line Checks. They then changed the Master Socket telling me my speeds would now be back to normal.
Although the Downstream Noise Margin has returned to around 6dB and the Connection Speed is 61390kbps, there is no difference at all to my Throughput which is still showing around 22Mbps on any Speed Test. Prior to this happening I've always connected just below 70000kbps and downloaded around 60-65 Mbps.
Is there any chance the speed may recover over the next few days if the line remains stable, or is this an outside line fault which has not been found?
I've tried contacting Sky by Phone but I'm just going round in circles trying to speak to a human.
Any suggestions would be most welcome.
Thanks

Re: Dropouts & Throughput
Hi @jackmalanak
After a fault fix it will take around 24-48 hours (As soon as DLM runs overnight) for your speed to recover, even if your sync speed is back to normal on the router.
