Drop in WiFi connection
I’m having an ongoing WiFi connection issue with my Delta HLA Plus, which is connected to my Sky Max Hub.
Nearly every day, the HLA Plus loses its WiFi connection for several minutes, usually around 3–4 minutes, before reconnecting by itself.
The HLA Plus is connected directly to the Sky Max Hub. The WiFi signal/RSSI shown during setup was around 54–56, so the signal appears reasonably strong.
I have already reset the HLA Plus and set it up again using the Sky Max Hub password. I have also tested the setup with the Sky Pod switched off, so I don’t believe the Sky Pod is the cause.
Could the Sky Max Hub be causing the HLA Plus to intermittently drop its WiFi connection, and is there anything I can change in the Sky Hub settings to make the connection more stable?

Re: Drop in WiFi connection
Hi @Gooner2003
This device looks to be something to monitor water levels. Because of this I would suspect its not close to the hub and could be near a body of water? What I suspect is happening is the signal is fluctuating causing disconnects. I know you mentioned the signal is around 54db which would typically be fine, however with it being potentially near water this could fluctuate a lot. Also if it is the only device behaving in this way i would be pointing fingers at the device/its placement rather thant the Sky hub. Have you tried temporarily moving it closer as a test to see if it drops.

Re: Drop in WiFi connection
The HLA Plus isn’t near a body of water. It is actually located directly below the Sky Max Hub, so it is very close to the router. The HLA is the only device that appears to be experiencing these intermittent connection drops, with the connection usually returning after around 3–4 minutes.
Because of its location, I don’t think distance from the router or being near water is likely to be the cause. Could the issue be with the HLA Plus itself or its compatibility with the Sky Max Hub?

Re: Drop in WiFi connection
Interesting, yes then I would put it down to either a faulty network module in the HLA or incompatibility with your Sky hub, although the latter is less likely as everything is built to a standard these days. I would contact the manufacturer and see if you can get a replacement, or at least some troubleshooting steps from them.
