My download speed on x ox is showing as between 4mbps - 8mbps. I have a broadband connection with an expectation and supposed 50mbps minimum and house daily average of 70+mbps.
i live alone and have minimal devices on and connected to the network, this is not a satisfactory download speed and gas been noticeable lately, with my entire WiFi service falling short of my expectations.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@jgb123 first point how are you measuring download speeds? Several games sites confusingly quote speeds in MB/s (Mega bytes per second ) rather than Mb/s (Megabits per second) if so your 4 - 8MB/s would be 32 -64Mb/s as there are 8 bits in a byte.
Assuming thst isnt the issue check the speed to your hub by running the service check in the My Sky app to see if there is a line issue. If you click on the Broadband link you will see bith the gusranteed speed for your line and the history for the last few weeks. if speeds are low thecapp should offer further help or call Sky.
However the most likely issue is poor wifi signal strength at your X Box which isnt something Sky can directly control. Ideally all gaming gear should use Ethernet cables not so much for bandwidth but for latency. Where WiFi is the only option you need to improve the signal strenth which is downto the layout and type of construction of your home there is also the affect of interference which can make a small flst morechalkenging ti network than a 4 bed house.
