I should also add that the minimum download speed is 600mbps and the line should support 780 - 930 mbps .
Many thanks in advance for taking a look .

As per your results, you are connected at 999mbps to the hub
Are you using WiFi or Ethernet to connect your devices?

A mixture of both , but nothing changed since the upgrade . On the ultrafast I had a guarantee of 500mbps and speed test always came back around that , now when testing since gigafast update the guarantee is 900mbps but I'm still testing at 500mpbs . Not sure what's going wrong , will the connection to the hub be a true figure ?

@mormegil Looking at the stat's most of the activity is on wifi, needs to do speed test on ethernet.

yeah the connection to the hub is the true speed and with the older 4.2 hub you would only get that via an ethernet connection.
the wifi on that version of the hub is an older standard so seems to max out at around 500 to get higher via wireless you would need the new max hub or a third party wifi6 or better hub

Thank you very much for the replies.
Not really sure what to make of them not really understanding the technicalities , i am ten days into upgrade and still the download speed remains the same as ultrafast at around 500mpbs tested via speed test app. Should i have been provided with the upgraded router to handle the estimated speeds , not sure where i go next with it . I guess i will have to contact Sky to seek a resolution. any further advise would be greatly appreciated.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreA screenshot of your speedtest would be useful if you could post that?
The upgrade from Ultrafast to Gigafast does not include a router upgrade, the router upgrade is a paid addon called WiFi Max.

I'm thinking off taking up the spring sale offers and go with a Eero 6 1gb , I'm hoping it's fairly straightforward to set up . It looks like it's plug and play and disable the WiFi in the SKy Hub , not sure if the feed to the Eero should come straight from the open reach box or via the sky hub 😳. I've searched the forum but can't find a direct answer !

@CMH1967 If you require a landline then you need to keep the sky router, there are a few types of eero so you need to be more specific. here is a copy of a review have a read when you can, and post back more specific regarding eero.
And if you have never hit 900mb/s on an ethernet test? you were also requested to post a speed test,
with ethernet, and all wifi devices disconnected, single connection on ethernet, no Q or anything else connected.
