Does the sky boaster have its own Wi-Fi network?

I have received the sky boaster today and got it paired and working but can not find it on the list of Wi-Fi networks. Does it make the original network stronger or should I be looking for a ext on the list like my old net gear one will have ext 5g after it.

@Gemma011283

The booster box will have exactly the same ssid as the sky hub . Any -ext on the end would be a different network and could interfere with the sky hub -booster mesh system

Whilst the Sky boosts signal strength, you may see a drop in speed - it's a trade off of stronger signal vs download speeds

@Gemma011283 No it doesn't, when paired up correctly you will just see one network, often called a "mesh". Your devices will flick invisibly between the different units depending on signal strength.
