Do I need an engineer

Do I need an engineer if the ONT is already installed in my property from a previous tenant, the WiFi appears to be working but on sky it says I'm not with them,my activation date is 29th June but everything seems already in place can it be activated remotely without the need for a visit by an engineer?

Re: Do I need an engineer

If you already have an ONT, that works then you shouldnt need an engineer, Sky usually activate it remotely and then post you a Sky Hub which you simply plug into the ONT via an ethernet cable and then everything is ready.

I already have the hub and everything seems to work, but I have an activation date for the 29th of June which was rescheduled from the 2nd of June but my account show's nothing to do with any broadband.

Sky also has a carriage deal with CityFibre, and if the CityFibre network is in reach of the address then Sky will commission a new installation from them even where there's already an Openreach ONT in place.

@TimmyBGood yes, good point in the unlikely event that they also have City Fibre as well as Openreach full fibre then Sky may get them to install. However the vast majority is Openreach.
