My contract for 18 months broadband is coming to an end. I wanted to know whether I have to tell Sky about the contract ending or else will they still charge me per month continuing even after term end ? And do I have to return the router ?
Thanks

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@BintimoIf you are moving and staying within the UK, Sky does have a home move service if you wish to stay with them. But if you are coming to the end of your contract and wish to cancel for when you move then you can do so and send the router back. But keep the proof of posting as there has been many instances of Sky adding on a charge because they said it had not been returned.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreYour discounted deal is ending rather than your contract. If you want to stay with Sky Broadband you will need to contact Sky to try to negotiate a new deal which will require another minimum term contract. Sky are not obliged to offer you another discount but if you sort something out to your satisfaction make a note of the date it’s ending.
You can either call Sky or use the following link https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-tv#contact-leave
This link https://www.sky.com/help/articles/been-overcharged may also help.
If on the other hand you wish to leave Sky, then to cancel Sky Broadband and Sky Talk totally, or if you’re moving to Virgin Media you'll have to contact Sky and give the required notice of 14 days.

If you are changing to another provider who also uses the Openreach infrastructure then join up with them and they should contact Sky on your behalf.
You’ll need to return any loaned router to Sky, so it’s very important you get proof of posting and keep it indefinitely. Return packaging will be sent out to you near the end of the notice period.
