I currently live in the UK, using Sky's broadband network (Adsl) with an ASUS DSL-N16 router. My internet disconnects two to three times every day, lasting for a few minutes each time. What could be the reason for this, and how can I resolve it?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIf your using a 3rd party router to connect your Sky line then you really should know where the line stats are, I cant help you with that. Alternatively you can connect your original Sky hub back to the line and then follow the instructions on the link I posted to fetch your Sky hub's stats.

Find out more@Aaron1112 the problem with using a third party router is Sky won't support you and if you call them they will simply tell you to use the Sky hub. The stats show your router has been connected for over 7 hours and that the signal to noise ration is 6dB which for ADSL is about right IIRC. If you have a line filter on the connection condider replacing that as that might beca factor but thst is a guess.
You will need to reconnect the Sky hub gather a few days data if the line drops continue talk to Sky to see if they can get Openreach to check the line.

You are configured correctly for adsl with 13Mbps out of 15Mbps but are showing shine on the line . Sudden high impact noise from outside can drop the line. But need to check out the value given

Can't find any info re 52 symbol shine and how significant that is . Per @Chrisee you would need to re install the sky hub to get hub stats and to determine whether the disconnects continue. Sky themselves determine a line fault as 10 or more times a day

I think it was last night. But at midnight, sky broadband crashed in the whole area where I live.
