Disapointed
Hi,
So my first night at trying Game with Sky (WHAT A NIGHTMARE). I think the BQM Monitor says it all. If this doesn't improve, then I will have no choice but to leave & go with my previous provider. SEE PICS
Anyone got any ideas? I used the same equipment both times.
Thanks

Re: Disapointed
@Shaun-87 thst does look bad but a lot depends on the workload of the hub while running the monitor ss response to incoming ping isxa low priority function. Are you on a full fibre or partial fibre connection?

Re: Disapointed
Hi,
I'm on Full fibre(cityfibre). As you can see from the other BQM monitor, it's perfect apart from one blip. Nothing has changed between the two parts, because one is my old provider & this one is Sky.

Re: Disapointed
@Shaun-87 for what it is worth it is not normal for Sky either. Powering down the hub for 60 minutes will cause a server change which may sort the problem.

Re: Disapointed
Hi,I'm not using the Sky Hub. Using my own router. I've never had to do anything like that before (why 60 mins)? I will see how it goes. I've looked at the BQM monitor now, and it's fine, so to me, that's telling me Sky servers are not coping very well when everyone is one gaming etc from a certain time

Re: Disapointed
@Chrisee Looks like your suggestion wont do anything
No, switching off a Sky Hub for an hour does not reset a Sky server node. It only drops your current active broadband session and disconnects your local router. Sky's network servers and routing nodes are managed on their core infrastructure and remain active independently of your home equipment.

Re: Disapointed
@Shaun-87 the standard lease period is 60 minutes so it means the lease lapses when yiu reconnect you almost cetainly end up on a different IP4 address/node. The suggested solution is from Sky's own network guys. Up to you what you do
