Disabling filter

I recently moved house and added fibre to my sky package. I'm on a very good package with a great speed etc. it works great in the room where the router is, yet in the next room (literally one wall separating the router and the bedroom) i can't stream anything. It just buffers continuously. I tried an extender and that didn't help at all, so now I've bought a better extender but I cannot properly connect to it because it is being blocked by the filter. I've tried to access my router settings but I don't know the admin password and cannot find it anywhere in the information supplied with the router. Does anyone know how I can find the password and disable the filter?

thanks

If that's the Sky Max Hub you have (the white one) then it's only accessible via  the MySky app on a smart device. I can't say I know what this filter is that you're talking about?

Re: Disabling filter

Thank you for replying. I'm so technologically challenged so I don't understand anything 😂 all I know is that every time I try to figure it out, i keep running into advisories to disable the routers Mac Filter (I think it was Mac but I could be mistaken) anyway it's supposedly a filtering system in the router (yes the Max Hub) that blocks unwanted connections 🤷🏼‍♀️

Thanks,

Leanne

Sky Hubs don't do MAC address filtering.

The only similar functionality is the optional Parental Controls in WiFi Max, which won't be active by default.
