Digital Voice Adapter that will work with my sky broadband.
I have two older phones that were on an extension.
Just moved to Sky broadband, old phone downstairs works fine.
I'm looking for a Digital Voice Adapter that will work with my sky broadband for my phones upstairs.
Has anyone any recomendations please?

No such thing with Sky I'm afraid. Only option would be a set of DECT phones with the base plugged into the router & handsets located where you need them.

Also possible to reconfigure your telephone extensions. Google voice re-injection.

Re: Digital Voice Adapter that will work with my sky broadband.
Just to flesh it out, I presume you're a refugee from BT using their Digital Voice? Their Hub is also a DECT base station & their DVAs pair with that in the same way their phones do. There is no DECT base in the Sky Hub, so nothing for a DVA to connect to.
With re-injection. you patch the Hub into a phone socket, which then enables all extensions. But you need to separate the incoming wiring. If you're on FTTP, you can just disconnect the incoming pair. But if still on FTTC, you need to separate the extension wiring from the master socket by adding an additional phone socket.

Thx for this information. As a result of having two DECT phone systems (7 handsets in total), I will be going with EE/BT in this case, when my contract ends.
It's a shame that Sky does not provide them.

BT's DVAs aren't without their problems. If that's the only reason for changing then I'd look at voice re-injection, using your existing wiring.
Also if the two systems are the same, check if you can pair all the handsets to one base. There will be a limit to how many can be paired, which should be in the manual.

I'll take q look at voice re-injection, thanks.
Re the DECT phones, I had to buy a 2nd pack of phones as only 5 phones can be used on each system.
But I suppose that I could physically plug both of the main units directly into the hub, if a splitter would work.

Should do, but only one way to find out for sure...

I read somewhere online that this should work fine, and I would check with Sky themselves as well.
I've had zero problem with DECT technology wrt my phones, and I understand that the BT/EE Digital Voice adapter uses DECT - what issues have you heard? Unreliable, interference, faulty? Anything like that?

Re: Digital Voice Adapter that will work with my sky broadband.
The two most common problems are poor range & a failure to ring on incoming call.
By its very nature, a plugin device's range is going to be compromised given that most sockets are low down on the wall.
Some have had to fit ye olde microfilters in order to provide a ring wire, but probably only on older phones.
I certainly wouldn't move to BT/EE just for DVA, when there are alternatives we've already touched on.

One of the base units is in a bedroom, but the other base unit is on the ground behind the TV cabinet. Both systems work perfectly around the house.
But of course adding a Digital Voice adapter is adding a device to the phone network thus introducing a potential issue that never used to be present.
I have until 22 Nov to decide what to do, although I've just discovered by chance that my current router is no longer receiving firmware & security updates, so I should perhaps take action soon.
Thanks for all your help!

By the way, I did read that BT/EE provide something should there be an issue with a phone not ringing. But whether this always fixes the issue, I don't know.
