Device management on Sky WIFI Max

We are former 'bog standard' internet customers, who only upgraded (£4 pm, no change in speed) to WIFI Max as it was the only way to manage who was connected- and when. The new hub arrived within days but despite refreshing the app and attempting to get answers from Sky themselves, there is no apparent option to manage devices?! A call to the help line warned if a 45 minute wait. It seems very odd if the feature is not there- as we would obviously not have changed our package if this was made clear upon enquiring. Can you control who is connected to the Ski WIFI Max hub now - or not? Anyone?!

@TAUNTONRACING yes the parental controls do work but you need to managecthem via the My Sky app as explained here https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max-parental-controls

If the hub controls are not showing in the app call Aky as they need to be added. However tonight following a big storm will not be the best time

Re: Device management on Sky WIFI Max

Thanks- but the article explains how to navigate to 'Parental Controls' in the MySky app - and there is no such option (Under 'Broadband ')

I have deleted and reinstalled the app, in case it would change after paying out for WiFi Max, but nothing.

@TAUNTONRACING Sky Max hub and the app are all so intertwined to the account, it is going to take sky to look at your account side and that it is all setup correctly as per the @Chrisee advice he gave, but they are closed now 8am to 8pm to get someone to talk to!

Re: Device management on Sky WIFI Max

So, to update - many calls & time spent on Live Chat, etc - no end result.

Nobody was able to explain why the app did not show the Parental Control function. We were asked to restart the router, uninstall/reinstall the app - nothing changed.

Sky's resolution was to cease the Sky Wifi Max subsciption and revert back to the 'old deal', leaving us without the in-house internet control(s) that we wanted!

Re: Device management on Sky WIFI Max

@TAUNTONRACING There are other options instead off giving up so you are aware, sky Max does not have to be the all and the end all for parental controls! Good to have it as one unit but if sky cannot spend the time to make it work then go the other route! Will take a little bit off time your side to do so, and the cost may be similar to the Max option!
