Deco When le Hose Mesh System

I've installed the Deco Whole House Mesh System  because Sky Superfast Broadband with Sky Pod is pants, Subsequently the Wii-fi around my house & garden is now super fast with all devices connecting effortlessly to the new system apart from slSky, which is constantly dropping out and one mini box not connecting at all. My monthly bill for Sky alone comes to £199, my contract is finishing this year I will not be resubscribing.

Getting to my question, has anyone else experienced the same issue and did you secure a fix?

Apologies for the rant, please humour me and thank you in advance. 😑

@Steve+the+Gooner if you have Sky Q boxes only the main box can be connected to your Deco system any Q mini boxes have to be connected to the main Q box by WPS.

The main Sky Q box and all four mini boxes are only connected by wi-fi,

OK: it's important to understand that Q Mini boxes can only use WiFi from another Sky device, so yours are connected to the main Q box rather than the Deco nodes.

You could consider linking them to the nodes using ethernet cable.

Re: Deco When le Hose Mesh System

Thank you, two of the four mini boxes working ok, have not checked the other one yet. Getting speeds of over 300 Mpbs download & 90 Mpbs upload everywhere, never got near that with Sky Fibre alone!

@Steve+the+Gooner

Speed doesn't really matter to a Q Mini: HD streaming requires a handful of Mbs.

What they do need is a consistent signal, and they cannot get that from either Deco nodes or a Max Hub: it can only come from a main Q box or each other.

Re: Deco When le Hose Mesh System

So is everyone saying that the deco box connected to the Sky Max Hub would also be connected by Ethernet to the main Sky Box & "Roberts your Mothers Brother"?

thank you
