Damage caused upon installation

Help. When openreach installed fttp, the holes that were drilled to fix a box to the interior wall were far too big. This was discovered around a year later, after we had moved some furniture around and realised the box was hanging off the wall. A sky engineer came out and re-sited the box, however the two large holes remain. The sky engineer raised the issue, but heard nothing. Eventually I got through to a claimshandling team, who put me in touch with 'DWF Claims'. I filled out all their paperwork, obtaining quotes to fix the damage, yet they have now stated they only cover accidental damage rather than poor workmanship. DWF Claims advised to go to openreach directly, openreach say I am a Sky customer so must deal with sky. I called sky and it looks like I am going to be sent down the same route again. Can anyone help with the correct process? To summarise, sky broadband installation, openreach engineer caused damage to internal wall. Who to speak to/how to rectify?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

@Bilhound You can report damage caused by Openreach to them directly, however looking at their complaints page it points to either live chat or the email address for the DWF law which deals with claims, I would guess that live chat would direct you there as well.

Still, if you do what to contact them you can do so via this link https://www.openreach.com/help-and-support/damage-health-and-safety just scroll down to " For any damage to your property caused by Openreach".

But I don't hold out much hope given the time that's elapsed.
