Daily WiFi drops to non-usable level

Over the last couple months I've seen an increase in stuttering, buffering and outright drops when using WiFi devices, in all rooms of the house including the room the router is based.

I am on gigafast fibre broadband, the route is in an open area  and all devices are affected.

this affects both 2.4ghz and 5GHz connections, I've tried changing WiFi channels, rebooting router and ONT and the issue does not resolve.

for example, my iPhone 15 pro max, will typically see around 5-600mbps on a Speedtest, during this drops it can be anywhere from 20mbps to as low as <1mbps.

The Speedtest on the Sky app shows no isssues and Ethernet devices don't seem to be as impacted by it.

iIf you have Wi-Fi Max on your account then Sky will loan up to 3 pods (boosters) as you can read about here:

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max

So you can either call them on 150 from a landline phone or a mobile that has a Sky sim in it or Select "No, I still need help" at the bottom on the above link.

Re: Daily WiFi drops to non-usable level

Hi thanks for your response.

I don't currently have WiFi max as, as I understand it, access to the router page is limited/blocked meaning lack of control over bands, ports etc.
