DLM speed limited still after engineer fix - should it have been reset?

I've had issues with my broadband for a little while with a few Openreach external visits to try and fix. They came today after another week of my speed being around half it should and said they'd successfully fixed it now, and when I checked my router is indeed connecting at the correct downstream again in the hub stats (around 40Mbps for reference). However, any speed tests I do I'm still getting a max of 20Mbps download speed, so still half it should be - does this suggest there is some DLM banding still in place? Whenever I've had issues in the past it's connected back at the right speed, so I presume any banding removed at time of fix.

Speaking to someone when you dial 150 can be a challenge, so hoping someone here can provide some insight and if it's something I can get reset. I've had months of issues and if they're finally fixed I'd really like to actually get my correct speed again.

Thanks!

@chukka82 the DLM system isn't instant if a reset has been requested it is unlikely to have effect until tonight when the changes are implemented. However if line conditions have improved the system should start raising the speed in steps on its own over the next week or so. Keep an eye on the hubs connection stats to see it happens see Find your Sky Broadband router statistics

If you want help in understanding these just post a set and someone can help,explain what the figures show.

Thanks for reply, I didn't realise there was a delay in the DLM reset happening. I'll run a speed test tomorrow and see if anything has changed, then keep an eye over the next week.

In terms of hub stats, they all look as they should since the engineer fix with the downstream back at nearly 40mbps. It's just the actual speed I get tops out at near enough bang on 20mbps when I do a speed test on my devices still.

@chukka82

After a fault fix the DLM is reset and your sync speed will come back up immediately. However the actual throughput will take upto 48hrs to improve.
