Re: Cornwall broadband down

Yep me too. Broadband checker says it's a problem my end but then the checker stops working. Also, half of Falmouth is down apparently so presumably NOT a problem with my kit?!!

Re: Cornwall broadband down

Falmouth here as well, apparently it's been down since about 1:30am, according to my nocturnal eldest son.

Re: Cornwall broadband down

Just called helpline and was told the problem is external and an engineer will look at and resolve within the next 2 days!

The advisor was unaware of any faults reported by other customers.

Thanks for update... 2 days, that's not ideal!

Re: Cornwall broadband down

Down here in Falmouth too. Sky says service is normal. Can't check on BT's checker as we don't have a phone number. Down Detector suggests something's up with BT.

Re: Cornwall broadband down

Still off in Liskeard!

At least it's now showing that there is an issue in the area.

Re: Cornwall broadband down

Broadband down in Cornwall, sky app says there are no outages.

sky customer service say I am the only person/first person to report the problem -(which they claim to be unaware off). When pointed out that many people on the forum have reported it- they said that that was just for users.

i don't have a problem with systems failing- it's annoying, but happens. I do object to the denial of the issue by sky. They waste our time doing "stupid" local unplug and restart router activities; when they must be aware that their system is at fault.

they also advised me that I could always plug an aerial into my TV, to get freeview. Nice to know that there is a reliable backup in place of Skystream!
